CasinoPop Casino

This relatively new casino has been making its way into the heart of online casino goers since its inception into the market in 2016. The fun pop-art theme and throwback to the bygone days along with clean, up-to-date functionality of a well-built webpage are just part of what makes CasinoPop great. Founded by industry experts from MT Securetrade, CasinoPop was created with the idea of establishing an online casino without the high margins and low return-to-player rates of other online gaming platforms. This is part of why CasinoPop is so secretive… you need to be a member of the club to really benefit from the perks - but perks, they do have! And as with any reliable and reputable online casino, CasinoPop is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission.

Games and Software

We’re happy to see this retro-themed site filled with a hundreds of games from top software providers like NetEnt (check out Asgardian Stones, Joker Pro and Twin Spin Deluxe) and Microgaming (users can have fun with Lucky Links, The Alchemist’s Gold and Highlander).

One disappointment while roaming CasinoPop’s virtual casino floor, was the lack of live casino and games. We do believe they exist there – but there seemed to be a bit of a glitch when we were exploring, as both the Jackpots and live casino pages were coming up empty. However, we’ve been in contact with support (very helpful) and were assured the issues were temporary and being fixed. We then went back later, and you’ll see what we thought of the live casino section.

However, fans of table games will be happy to find a variety of Blackjack (Classic, Pro and Perfect Pairs European to name a few), Pontoon and Roulette games available. Likewise, there were a few classic slots – Route 777, Mystery Joker 6000 and Blue Diamond – for the old-school fans. On a whole, CasinoPop has some exciting games to offer all around!

Live Casino

CasinoPop’s live casino section is brought To you by the likes of NetEnt, a solid choice, but the absence of industry-leading Evolution Gaming is a bit strange.

Nevertheless, what’s on offer here is more than just-so: there are 14 live games to choose from, all of which are either Blackjack or Roulette. There are 10 Roulette options, ranging from the usual (French Roulette, American Roulette), to the more exciting (Rocket Roulette, Roulette La Partage HD). There are only four Blackjack variants, but what’s there should be enough for live Blackjack enthusiasts: Blackjack Common Draw High Roller, Blackjack Common Draw Low Roller, Blackjack HD and Blackjack Pro. The lack of any other types of live games is a bit strange, but nothing too terrible – CasinoPop clearly has their bases covered.

One thing to note that annoyed us though – most of these games are NOT available on mobile; for that, you’ll have to make-do with only Live Roulette HD, Live Roulette Pro and Rocket Roulette.

User Interface

This is one good-looking site, and it’s pretty clever to get around, too!

Right from the header menu, you know where to go in CasinoPop – your first options are for either Home, Games, popZone or Promotions,

The game menu is a real beauty: CasinoPop has games neatly divided into a few categories, Jackpots, Slots, Classic Slots, Table Games and Live, that make navigation and finding favourite games easy. There’s a handy search bar that allows you to find your most-beloved games in an instant, and the clever ability to search for games by software provider. We say three cheers for clever filtering!

To put it mildly: this is a very easy site to get around, and find everything you might be looking for. Nice one, CasinoPop!

Mobile Casino

CasinoPop’s mobile casino site provides gamers with all the goodies available on the desktop: plenty of games, the popZone (more on that below), payment options, promotions and a live chat connection to customer support. The mobile site had the same clean and swanky design of yesteryear and somehow became more charming sized to fit your smartphone.

Most importantly, the games (and others bits) all worked wonderfully on our mobile – which is what we like to see when we’re gaming on the bus or Tube. As of now, CasinoPop hasn’t got an app in the Apple or Play Stores, but we’re hopeful the day will come along soon!

There isn’t much in the way of gamification – yet – on CasinoPop, but we like the bonus section called popZone. Essentially CasinoPop’s version of loyalty rewards, new members are automatically enrolled into popZone at the Bronze level and can play games to increase their points and work their way up the levels. Every level-up provides gamers with a chance of winning anything from spins to other bonuses. There’s also a wager-free game, popSpin, unique to CasinoPop that allows for users to win wager-free prizes – and we’re fans of that!

Perhaps leaderboards and missions don’t match the old-fashioned feel of CasinoPop, but here’s hoping in the future they get on board the trend to make gaming extra fun for casino goers!

Aside from the Welcome bonus and the popZone, sadly, PopCasino offers nothing in the way of bonus promotions – this was quite the shocker. We’re hoping that it was just a snag in the times and that they’re between two promotion periods, but we’d really like to see more offers and bonuses (which casino goer wouldn’t?) from such a cool casino.

For now, we’d say that CasinoPop is one to watch… but not quite there yet in the bonus department.

As with other sections of the CasinoPop website – banking information isn’t accessible until you have an account. So here’s our little guide for future users: both deposits and withdrawals have a minimum of £15 and can be accessed using VISA, Neteller, Skrill and Paysafecard – unusually enough, Mastercard doesn’t seem to be an option for CasinoPop and neither does PayPal.

Unfortunately, it seems that there are a few fees for some of the payment methods: 2.5% for VISA and Mastercard deposits and 5% for Paysafecard. Likewise, there is a £2.50 fee for all withdrawals and a 1-3 day turnaround time for everything except Neteller, Paysafecard and Skrill. We’re not a fan of paying for our money, or for giving our money, so we’re not big fans of this system. But hopefully, with a little growth, this could change in our favour with time.

However, we did see some mentions of banking from other reviewers that were astounded by how fast they received their winnings – so maybe the strict system means more efficiency, and we’re fans of that. Plus, CasinoPop uses a very high encryption service to allow for the most private and secure methods of payments

Customer Support
  • Live Chat: Yes
  • Email:
  • Telephone: N/A
  • FAQ: Yes
  • Availability: 24/7

Even though there were limited options for customer support (no phone number to be found anywhere and an FAQ page only accessible after login) we were HUGE fans of the live chat service on CasinoPop. The customer support members were friendly, professional and extremely helpful – even offering to guide us through more technical computer issues not related to the website itself. Response times were also incredibly fast – often less than a minute – so this was by far some of the best customer service chat we’d ever seen!

Our Verdict

There were many things about this site that are appealing right off the bat – the design, the wide selection of games and the exclusivity and fun hiding behind the popZone. It would be great to see an online casino as big as this one that accepted PayPal (and Mastercard) and even Bitcoin would help them open their doors to more players.

However, online casino goers seem to love CasinoPop and we see why. It’s a fun website that makes you feel like part of a community, even without much gamification, the popZone and its subsequent rewards are special and inviting. Not the mention, the excellent customer service! Yes, we wish there was a phone number, but sometimes customer service by phone is more difficult than anything and the chat service was just so good – we wish they were our IT support all the time! All that being said, there’s one thing that’s clearly bringing punters through the virtual door and that’s games, games, games.
