Fairground Slots Casino

Joining the world of online gaming platforms, Fairground Slots Casino entered the market in February 2018. This newcomer is operated by well-known Jumpman Gaming Limited and licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. This old-skool fairground-style gaming platform comes with a modern twist: fun incentives in the form of trophies that make us want to stack ‘em up and keep playing. There’s also a mobile platform that leaves little to be desired, which is refreshing and exciting in our books… so why not spend a day at the ‘fair’ at Fairground Slots?

Games and Software

Fairground Slots’ cute and quirky site is filled with a great selection of games from top software providers. Newcomers to the site will be happy to find an array of games from Microgaming like Immortal Romance and Mermaids Millions, as well as a huge selection from NetEnt, including Aloha! Cluster Pays, Starburst and Gonzo’s Quest. There are other fun games from smaller but high-quality providers, such as Bonanza slots from Big Time Gaming, and Irish Eyes 2 slots from NYX Gaming.

There’s also an impressive selection of games from Eyecon, a cool software provider that started in 1997 as a computer gaming company. Check out Fluffy Favourites Fairground, Fluffy Favourites and Shaman’s Dream. Progressive jackpot slot lovers won’t be disappointed either, with over 35 progressive slots to choose from, including big winners like Mega Moolah, Temple of Isis and Irish Luck. With hundreds of slot games to choose from, Fairground Slots really does feel like a day at the fair.

A fun addition the Fairground Slots that you don’t see on every online gaming platform is the Bingo section. You can choose from five bingo games that start as low as 1p and there are even a couple of FREE options – though you have to come at the right time for those and the prizes are small (up to a fiver)! Unfortunately, it’s hard to find the casino and table games on the site as there’s no section dedicated to them. Through the search function, we found three Blackjack varieties, two Roulette games and One-Hand Jacks Or Better. Doesn’t mean these were the only games available, but it does mean there’s room for improvement here.

Live Casino

Fairground Slots, as of now is live casino-less. We’re hoping this is something that will change in the future, as they have stocked the site full of games from top software providers thus far.

User Interface

Although the colours and the circus-styled theme at Fairground Slots are fun, this wasn’t our favourite casino website. The buttons on the horizontal menu bar overlapped and made it seem that we were missing a tab or two. You definitely have to view the site in fullscreen mode to get the most of what it has to offer. Unfortunately, the only option for organizing games was in alphabetical order, or to choose the pre-configured tabs for Top Games or Newest. There is also a search function on the right-hand side of the screen that was helpful when it came to searching for those hidden table games.

On the left-hand side of the screen, you can find all your account information in a clear little box that says: Hi, <your name>. On top of that is a little menu tab where you can find special promotions (there was one for Easter at the time of writing this), Trophies (more on this to come), All Games, Promotions and the Contact Us page. So moving around is easy enough and load time on games is fair, not the fastest we’ve seen, but not the slowest either. The thing that really bugged us about the site was the flashing words at the top of our tab – calm down, Fairground Slots – we know you’ve got plenty to offer, we’re not going anywhere!

Mobile Casino

A trend we’re starting to see – and like – with newer online casinos, is that they’re much better optimised for mobile than the casinos of the noughties. The home page on the mobile platform is clean and easy to navigate, the menu buttons are easy to see across the top of top half of the screen and it seems that the majority of games – slots and otherwise – are available and well-functioning. We liked how our balance was shown in gold on the top of the screen; easy to keep track of… and we could access anything from our Account and Inbox to Promotions, Trophies and Contact with the menu button on the top left corner. In many ways, we were bigger fans of the mobile site than the desktop version, as we think it’s convenience and well-functioning design have a lot to offer. In fact, we’d recommend new (and old) users to go ahead and check Fairground Slots out on their mobile first.

(Note: there’s no mobile app available as of yet – but we’d be really happy to see one from Fairground Slots – hint, hint)

Finally, an online gaming platform with a cool, creative gamified twist. Hit the Trophies section on the menu bar and you’ll see hundreds of trophies that you can collect by completing fun tasks. Each new level you unlock earns you a Free Spin on the Mega Reel… and as you go up in levels, the Mega Reel gets better and better. You’ll see a level-progress bar across the top of the screen and your level (we’re Newbies still) and can click any of the black-and-white trophies to see how to collect them – anything from trying a certain game to winning a certain amount. It’s a fun addition to the normal casino play and gets you trying new great games you might otherwise miss. Overall, we found the Trophy section a fun little addition to Fairground Slots, and it’s nice they stuck to the theme, too.

Fairground Slots has a Promotion page in the main menu where you can find a nice selection of fun bonus offers. We saw everything from specially tailored offers for newbies to actual welcome packages – just check the page frequently as it seems like they change the offers often!

Like many other top-rated casinos, Fairground Slots also has a VIP Scheme where you can earn points – which they cleverly call Kudos – simply for making deposits and playing your favourite games. Here are more opportunities to get bonus spins and cashback and maybe even a special treat on your birthday, so it’s a good thing that account holders are automatically enrolled in the VIP Scheme. On top of that, if you’re a VIP elsewhere, there’s an option to fast track your status at Fairground Slots – something we’ve never seen before that is quite appealing to us loyal gamers.

Banking at Fairground Slots is easy – whether through the desktop or mobile site. Deposits can be made with VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, Paysafecard, PayPal and Pay by Mobile and have to be a minimum of just £10. Deposit more than £20 and receive a bonus spin on the Mega Reel (as always, check the terms and conditions for the details). Unfortunately, there were no details on just how long transactions take when depositing. For withdrawals, you need to take a minimum of £30 out of your account which must be verified with a photo ID, a recent utility bill and a proof of payment method. Receiving your withdrawn money can take anywhere between 2 and 5 days – not the best transaction times we’ve seen, but not the best either.

Customer Support
  • Live Chat: Yes
  • Email: support@fairgroundslots.com
  • Telephone: None given
  • FAQ: Yes
  • Availability: Monday – Friday 9:30am – 6pm

Fairground Slots offers a variety of the expected ways to reach Customer Support. We’re a bit disappointed that their FAQ page is quite minimal thus far, that their Live Chat is only available during standard working hours (let’s be real, we know that’s not when a lot of gamers are active). They do have an option to instant message through Facebook, which is handy – especially considering the Live Chat never responded to our simple query. Better luck next time at Fairground Slots.

Our Verdict

Skip Fairground Slots on your desktop and start hitting the slots on your mobile. There’s a lot of fun to be had between bonuses, trophies and the endless selection of slots – so don’t let little things like iffy customer support get to you here. Fairground Slots is a fun one to try for 2018 – it even has the potential to become a modern classic.
