Games and Software

We like a casino that doesn’t beat around the bush. Mad About Slots is simply that, mad about slots – and they have plenty to show for it. You can find a wide selection of slops from awesome software providers. Mad About Slots Casino has expanded their offerings from the typical NetEnt and Microgaming (though we love them so) to include Elks Studios, Lightning Box and a few other smaller but just-as-awesome software providers in their casino collection.

There are several different themed games to choose from. Animal lovers can spin the reels on Untamed Giant Panda, Untamed Bengal Tiger, Penguin Splash and Untamed Wolf Pack from Microgaming and Unicorn Legend from NextGen. Branded slot fans will be happy to find two versions of Microgaming’s Lara Croft Tomb Raider, their beloved Playboy slots, as well as Terminator 2 and Psycho. On top of all that, there are about a dozen Progressive Jackpot slots to have a go on, too. Mad About Slots supplies Lotsaloot 5 Reel, Hansel and Gretel: Treasure Trail, Diving Fortune and Deck the Halls.

While there truly is no shortage of slots at Mad About Slots (could you imagine if there were?) there are plenty of other entertaining games to try as well. Enter the Casino Games section for 3D European Roulette, Double Bonus Poker, Spanish 21 Blackjack Gold Series and a number of other great titles. We even found Mike Tyson Roulette, something we hadn’t ever spotted before, so that was quite cool (it has Power Prize Multipliers, thanks to Mr Tyson).

If you’re looking for a lighter game, there are also nine scratchcards on the site: Diamond Deal, Gems Odyssey and The Codfather, to name a few. It’s a fairly well-stocked casino, despite the lower number of games compared to other long-standing sites. However, it’s not quantity so much as quality with casino games and Mad About Slots certainly has that covered.

Live Casino

While the slot games are covered from 5-reel to classic to cluster pays, the Live Casino is truly lacking. To the extent that it doesn’t really exist… you can find a couple Live options tucked away in the Casino Games section, but really just a couple. There’s Live Multiplayer Baccarat and Live Multiplayer Blackjack available. Both work great and provide a lot of fun – even from our mobile – but the limited selection is quite disappointing.

User Interface

It’s pretty easy to get used to navigating around at Mad About Slots. The home page is neatly organised, with your account information in the top right-hand corner (as is standard) and the menu options along the top of the page. You can choose from Promotions, Casino Games, Slots, Scratch Cards, VIP Room and Help to find anything you might need right away.

Within each of the game categories, ,there isn’t a filter, so you can’t organise games by type, software provider, or theme but you can search for specific games using the search bar. One cool extra tidbit is when you hover over a game icon, you get a mini (one or two line) description of the game. Sometimes it tells you what bonuses are in the game or which software provider made it. If you access the slot game itself, you’ll find even more information including the RTP, minimum bet and other essentials, which is great info to have.

If you’re looking for the more technical things on the site – Terms & Conditions, Responsible Gaming, Privacy Policy, and so on – just head straight to the bottom of the website. Everything from the Contact Us page to a list of Game Payouts is provided for your ease of use. You can also access this information by pressing the Help button on the main menu bar; it opens with a bunch of subcategories to make navigating even easier.

As for the design of the site itself, it’s fairly generic but is nice and clean. The theme colours are white, gold and red, and there’s a casino chip character as part of the logo. Mad About Slots is mad about slots and there’s definitely a strong brand identity throughout the site, which just adds to the fun.

Mobile Casino

The great thing about Mad About Slots Casino online is that it’s packed full of games from top software providers that are all available on your mobile phone. No matter what theme or if you’re a Classic Slots or Progressive Jackpot lover, this site has got your fix from anywhere you might travel. You can access everything from banking information (yes, you can even make deposits and withdrawals) to promotions and even the FAQ page.

As for the games, we found quick load times and smooth, glitch-free playing from every single one that we tried. The HD graphics showed up great on both our mobiles and tablets, and we enjoyed the experience of the small screen with big action. With more and more software providers building games that are mobile optimised, it’s great to see more online casinos follow through with well-optimised mobile sites, as well.

Gamification is a new thing that we’re seeing on more and more online gaming sites. It’s a way to add a little extra thrill and competition to your favourite games by adding a little video game inspired fun such as tournaments, missions and goals. Unfortunately, we didn’t see a whole lot of that going on at Mad About Slots. The home page did have a Winners banner and listed recent big winners (it appears to be anything above £100) but it didn’t seem to be working while we were at the site (the winners were all the same and had the word ‘null’ above their name). If this was actually working, it would be a start, as it definitely incentivises players to hit their favourite games.

Mad About Slots could potentially be called Mad About Promos – there are plenty of them to be found at the site. Aside from a regular welcome package (it’s subject to change but what we saw was quite generous), this online gaming site offers everything from one-off promos to regular offers. There’s a Weekly Surprise and a Wednesday Wildfire currently available, both of which seem to be long-withstanding promotional offers. There’s also a special promotional offer that changes every month, so there really is no shortage of new and exciting perks available to members.

There is also a VIP scheme, with rewards you one VIP point for every £16 you wager on the site. Earn more points to gain access to the VIP Room and a coveted VIP status. Start your way at Bronze and work your way up through Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond for amazing benefits like a Personal Account Manager, Points to Cash Conversions and much more.

Depositing at the site is easy thanks to several payment options: Pay via Phone, credit or debit cards, Paysafecard, Trustly, EcoPayz, Neteller, Skrill, Fast BankTransfer, and Euteller all accept UK currency. Deposits are instant and only require a minimum of £20 but Withdrawals are somewhat different. The minimum withdrawal amount is £50 for Bank Transfers and Trustly, which is the highest we’ve ever seen. Skrill, Neteller, Credit and Debit Cards as well as Paysafecard require a more average £20 minimum. Once you submit your withdrawal request, it may appear as pending for 3 business days and take a few days further for the transfer to actually go through – the Terms were a little vague about this. While the banking options are great, the high withdrawal rates and processing times are not favourable.

Customer Support

  • FAQ: Yes

The chatbot was quick enough to reply when we started a conversation but it did take them a while to give us a full response. We saw a lot of ‘typing’ and pausing which made us a bit skeptical about what answers they were constructing.

Our Verdict

Mad About Slots is a see-what-you-get kind of casino. There are plenty of slots, the games are mobile optimised and there are plenty of promos. It’s fun and easy going and great on your mobile, just be wary of the long payout times and you’re good to go.
